Apple unveils the iPhone Duo. PARKSIDE looks at the price, looks at two iPhones and thinks: hold my screwdriver.
The power-tool brand posted its own interpretation of Apple’s new foldable on social media: two iPhones, a hinge, four screws and a healthy dose of cordless screwdriver.
No aerospace-grade titanium, no hinge engineered for years in some secret Cupertino laboratory and, most importantly, no €2,369 starting price, climbing all the way to €3,869 for the 2 TB version.
PARKSIDE instead appears to suggest a far more democratic DIY approach: buy two phones and destroy them yourself.
Before anyone rushes to Lidl to try it: no, this is not a tutorial. PARKSIDE’s image was generated using AI, and apparently no innocent iPhones were actually drilled during the making of the joke.
Shame, really. For a few seconds, the internet had finally found a convincing use for artificial intelligence.
Still, it says something when faced with an Apple phone costing nearly four thousand euros, the most reassuring piece of technology in the picture is a PARKSIDE cordless screwdriver.
