GTA 6 launches in 16 days: 19 November, PS5 and Xbox

Stylized promotional artwork for "Grand Theft Auto VI" in Rockstar's signature comic-book illustration style under a pink and orange sunset sky. The "GRAND THEFT AUTO VI" logo dominates the top center, with a giant neon-pink "VI". In the foreground, a woman in a red tank top and a man with buzzed hair in a plaid shirt stand together beside a vintage red muscle car parked along a coastal highway. The background is filled with palm trees, a bay with boats, a helicopter in the sky, and a distant, glowing city skyline. A dark banner at the bottom features the bold text "LAUNCHES NOVEMBER 19, 2026" and "PLAYSTATION 5 • XBOX SERIES X|S" in smaller font below it, framed by a dark, distressed border.

Grand Theft Auto VI is on track for Thursday, 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, after two delays that pushed it from fall 2025 to May 2026 and then to November. Pre-orders have been open since 25 June at $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, and digital pre-loading starts on 12 November. Rockstar restated the date in its 15 October launch trailer, and Take-Two has reaffirmed it on earnings calls. The recent “slipped to 2027” rumours have been knocked down, and the official store listings still show 19 November. There is still no PC date, though a 2027 release is widely expected. Rockstar hasn’t confirmed an exact unlock time either.
